What Floor End Cap is Used for
Floor end cap is used for composite flooring and hardwood flooring
The floor end cap is a rectangular piece of wood designed to end the floor by covering the top and sides of the floor edge with a little wood. It can be used where your floor meets any vertical point outside the wall, such as fireplaces, sliding door tracks, or high surfaces, such as high carpets or very thick tiles. It can also be used to separate the end of the door, for example. Instead of dropping from one floor to a few millimeters and using a reducer on another floor, lower it to a specific floor. Floor end caps allow for extended areas where laminates or wood flooring may be required at their ends.
Some floor end caps will be installed by mounting on vertical surfaces (e.G. Walls) where the floor meets. Some floor end caps are fitted with plastic rails mounted directly on the floor and then the transition pieces are clipped into the rails. In this case, never adhere to the plastic track to the top floor you just installed, only to the underfloor.
